St. Edward has a recycling dump for tree, yard, and garden wastes. A paper recycling bin is located at the high school. Citizens are allowed to dispose of household hazardous waste on a yearly basis.

There are eleven miles of streets in St. Edward, ten miles of which are hard-surfaced. Five percent of the streets have curbs and 75 percent have sidewalks. Approximately $15,000 in city funds are spent annually on street maintenance.
